I had Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional on my computer in 2010.  It kept (every time I open explorer or start up the computer) trying to update, but immediately does 1606 cannot access setup location /startup.  I tried to uninstall and same error, tried modify, same error, so went into command prompt and deleted the whole folder, still keep getting it over and over.  How do I get rid of it... please.

Thanks

    uinstall it,

    run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html),

restart your computer and then go here and follow the directions for using acrobat 7 pro: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html

    finally, update: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
