Branching to a new discussion.

WestfallsCreative, error 205 occurs due to the inability of the computer to reach Adobe servers.  What Adobe application is being blocked from updating?  Are you installing the application on a computer and network that you manage yourself?  If so, then see Troubleshoot Adobe Creative Cloud download and install issues for steps you can take to resolve the connection failure.

Please update this public forum discussion if you have any questions.

The code came up during a CC desktop app update. First on my main desktop computer at work and then on my laptop yesterday. Both company computers but signed into two different adobe accounts. The desktop is obviously at the office but my laptop threw the code yesterday while working from home. I have never had any issues until now so it makes me wonder if an update in virus/malware protection software may be causing an interruption.

Thanks for the update, WestfallsCreative.  Please work with your companies I.T. department to resolve the error.  If they want you to apply the updates yourself, then the computer will need access to the servers listed in Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints .

If your company has a Creative Cloud for Team or Enterprise membership, then they also can push the updates to the computer, without allowing access to the required Adobe servers.
