ERROR Adobe Application Manager

I downloaded Adobe audition, trial version, to try out. However, I cannot use this or any Adobe products because I keep getting an error stating I need to install Adobe application manager. I have searched high and low and cannot find this program. I installed Adobe creative cloud, but that did not resolve the error message.

I bought my MacBook from Best Buy and it was an open box, allegedly certified by the geek squad to be in perfect condition. I thought about resetting the computer completely, however I have been using it for six months and do not have a back up as I do not have an external drive. I don't know what to do to get Adobe software to work on my MacBook Pro.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Correct answer saragroves

Saragroves, the Adobe Application Manager is only a component of the Creative Cloud desktop app.  Please make sure that you are beginning the installation process through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application as discussed in post #3.

If you are unable to open the Creative Cloud desktop app then can you please post a screenshot of the current error you are facing?

I uninstalled Creative Cloud and reinstalled. It seems to be helping... Perhaps the issue is the computer and not the software. Thank you all!

Saragroves, what version of Audition are you attempting to install?  What version of Mac OS is installed on the MacBook Pro?

I just downloaded Audition earlier this week from the adobe site, so I imagine it's the most recent. My MacBook is from 2017 with Sierra High OS. It's brand new (certified open box). There seems to be a number of issues with the laptop, or I just simply can't wrap my head around the Mac OS. Adobe is but one of the issues I'm having.

Thanks for the update, Saragroves.

There is no need to obtain the Adobe Application Manager to install Audition CC.  Instead please download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application as discussed in Learn how to download your Adobe Creative Cloud apps .

If you continue to encounter errors with the installation process then can you please post a screenshot of the current error, Saragroves?  Information on how to post a screenshot can be found at FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video? .

I do already have creative cloud installed. That's why this makes no sense to me that I keep getting this alert.
