While Launching-

    Hi,

Running Win 7. The Adobe Creative Desktop app won't start after install. It says msvcp140.dll is missing. The file in question is present in Windows -> System32, the Visual Studio 2017 c++ is installed. I have tried replacing the dll-file, downloading it separately from the web with no luck. Any advice?

Have you tried just downloading a fresh copy of the Creative Cloud installer?

Thanks. Yes, downloaded fresh today. I am moving all my Adobe apps to a new ssd (Adobe Creative app will of course reside on the system drive).

I am thinking uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft Visual runtime c++ 2017 would be worth a try.

I am kind of lost without the Adobe apps so further assistance is much appreciated.

Just updated PS through Creative Cloud, installation is confirmed but Photoshop doesn't start because the programs VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll are not present on my computer (Windows10). Deinstalled and reinstalled, same issue.

    Any advise??

    Hi,

With the June 2016 release of Adobe® Creative Cloud® the applications have migrated to using Visual C++® 2015 runtimes from Microsoft®.

This change has been made to ensure that the Creative Cloud software is using runtimes that Microsoft is currently supporting.

With this migration, our latest version of Creative Cloud Apps will require that the VC 2015 runtimes have been installed on the system using the software in order to run correctly.

Would suggest you to follow Error :api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

    Thanks for the quick turn-around.
