Hi Jeff,

that does not answer my question: Why has it been possible to install the PS-CC Update directly, LR Classic CC after 2 days and minimum 3 new trials and the LR CC not? The same computer, the same Windows 10 and the same Defender? And believe me, it's not an easy decision to bring a catalog of more than 100.000 pictures including their different keywords in any danger.

Herbert, I am sorry but it does sound like you are facing multiple errors on the Windows 10 computer.  Not only during the download and install process but also while attempting to use the applications.

We have already discussed Error 156.  If there are any additional errors from the download and installation process that you would like to review then please post them to this public forum discussion.  Information on how to locate the errors in the install log can be found at Creative Cloud download and install errors .

>Ok, thanks, Herbert.  If you are still facing problems when applying the Lightroom CC update, then please apply the update on a newly created local administrator account.  You can find steps on how to set up a new account at Adobe troubleshooting: Creating an admin account in Windows

Jeff, maybe somebody could make the same changes like in the LR Classic CC and in PS CC. If not, I will not work with LR CC, it's that easy. I cannot understand, how it is possible, that an update with PS was so easy, while in LR it's a nightmare.

>Once you have successfully applied the update, then I would recommend you post regarding the errors you are facing in the forum.  The community in that forum will be more familiar with why you may be facing errors when you attempt to delete pictures, Herbert.

Is that the understanding of support in ADOBE and how to resolve problems in ADOBE products? I understand, that QA produces costs, but a good QA leads to satisfied customers. I recommended ADOBE products very often, but I will be more careful in the future with my recommendations.

Herbert, you are always welcome to begin a chat session for direct assistance at Contact Customer Care .  The suggestions I have offered are based on my understanding of the state of your computer within this public discussion forum.

Since you are facing a file permission failure when writing to the desktop then a new User account should allow you to resolve those concerns.

I would also recommend reviewing lightroom CC and Classic  where other individuals have reported similar errors due to the settings of Windows Defender.
