I can't install lightroom on my pc. How can I solve it
Herbert, I am sorry but it does sound like you are facing multiple errors on the Windows 10 computer. Not only during the download and install process but also while attempting to use the applications.
We have already discussed Error 156. If there are any additional errors from the download and installation process that you would like to review then please post them to this public forum discussion. Information on how to locate the errors in the install log can be found at Creative Cloud download and install errors

Mytoyota, are you receiving the same Error 156 as posted by Eloyg1043354 in message number #2 of this public discussion? If so is there anything preventing the alias from being created on the Desktop for the current User? If you log in with a new User, do you receive the same error?

Hi Jeff,
don't ask me why, but after again hours of downloading and installing LR Classic CC the product was installed. Maybe they changed something in the product, because the PS installation worked finde directly. It's a nightmare and there is really no motivation to even think about other Adobe products and I will be very careful with Adobe Updates in the future.

Thanks for the update, Mytoyota. Error 156 is occurring because access was denied when trying to create the alias for Lightroom on the desktop. If you discover any local software that may have temporarily denied access then please update this public forum discussion.

Jeff,
Lightroom CC still did not come to the end of the installation and abended the same way, as LR Classic CC did. But this did not hurt me, because I use only LR Classic CC (70-80%) and PS CC (20-30 %) for my picture processing and with > 100.000 pictures the catalog function of LR (which I use since Rel. 1.0) is very important for me. What I cannot understand is the low speed of any installation process Adobe offers to customers. Every installation took hours!
Best regards and happy weekend
Herbert

Herbert, are you on a managed network or do you employ a software firewall? Either could affect the performance of the download speed depending upon the configuration.

And why does it only have bad impact to Adobe downloads? All my other daily work has no performance problems.

And why did the PS Update work fine, while the LR Updates brought problems?

and this error-message - known from the release before - has not been fixed:
If you mark a couple of pictures in a folder as bad and delete them, this error message comes up.

Herbert, I am not familiar with the dialog box you posted in message #12. What steps are you taking before this error appears?
Regarding your question in message #10, Herbert. There are some factors that can affect the download speed. Please make sure to review the settings of any software firewalls or any other installed security software, that may be changing the download and install process. It is likely overprotective security software that is preventing the creation of the Alias for Lightroom CC as part of the install process. I am sorry, but if you do manage the network yourself, then you will need to control and adjust any changes necessary, Herbert.

Hi Jeff,
I'm not only downloading Software and Updates/Upgrades from Adobe, but I have these problems only with Adobe. That brings me to the conclusion, that my computer works fine.
#12: If I check the pictures in LR, I mark the pictures which I do not want to keep on my computer with the black star (left to the 5 stars). Then I delete them all with Ctrl Backspace. LR deletes these pictures and I receive the error message as shown in #12 with the message: An internal error happened……, but I can go on working. I never had this in LR 6.14!

Ok, thanks, Herbert. If you are still facing problems when applying the Lightroom CC update, then please apply the update on a newly created local administrator account. You can find steps on how to set up a new account at Adobe troubleshooting: Creating an admin account in Windows .
Once you have successfully applied the update, then I would recommend you post regarding the errors you are facing in the Lightroom Classic CC — The desktop-focused app forum. The community in that forum will be more familiar with why you may be facing errors when you attempt to delete pictures, Herbert.

Jeff, maybe somebody could make the same changes like in the LR Classic CC and in PS CC. If not, I will not work with LR CC, it's that easy. I cannot understand, how it is possible, that an update with PS was so easy, while in LR it's a nightmare.

Is that the understanding of support in ADOBE and how to resolve problems in ADOBE products? I understand, that QA produces costs, but a good QA leads to satisfied customers. I recommended ADOBE products very often, but I will be more careful in the future with my recommendations.

Herbert, you are always welcome to begin a chat session for direct assistance at Contact Customer Care . The suggestions I have offered are based on my understanding of the state of your computer within this public discussion forum.
Since you are facing a file permission failure when writing to the desktop then a new User account should allow you to resolve those concerns.
I would also recommend reviewing lightroom CC and Classic where other individuals have reported similar errors due to the settings of Windows Defender.

Hi Jeff,
that does not answer my question: Why has it been possible to install the PS-CC Update directly, LR Classic CC after 2 days and minimum 3 new trials and the LR CC not? The same computer, the same Windows 10 and the same Defender? And believe me, it's not an easy decision to bring a catalog of more than 100.000 pictures including their different keywords in any danger.
