Error while installing Creative cloud on Mac OS v10.15.17

When I try to install the Creative Cloud Installer, I get the following error message:  “Creative Cloud Installer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

Is it because the current version of the installer is not yet certified by Apple? If so, where can I get an older version of the Creative Cloud Installer.

This suggests it was not certified by Apple, but the current one is, and has been for a year. Please, where exactly did you download this from? Please give the exact URL, from the file properties.

Thank you for your reponse!

I logged in to the creative cloud website and hit download against creative cloud (available in my subscription).  Address bar url: https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud

The download happened from this url below:  https://prod-rel-ffc-ccm.oobesaas.adobe.com/adobe-ffc-external/core/v1/wam/download?sapCode=KCCC&productName=Creative Cloud&os=mac

Matthew, please utilize the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html to begin the download and install process.  If you continue to encounter problems then try a different web browser and if that fails please see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491 for information on how to use the Gatekeeper feature.
