I have just downloaded my purchase of Elements 12 and tried to install twice. I've read through the troubleshooting pages and still can't work out how to fix this.

I am getting the error messages and have included them below

Can someone please help me fix this.

Hi sunny_hell,

Please navigate to C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old.

Perform selective startup and try installing again: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-vista/run-selective-startup-using-system-configuration.

Refer the kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements-premiere.html#main_Error__Below_mentioned_applications_have_failed_to_install__Shared_technologies_ in case of further issues.

Hi sunny_hell,

Before trying anything else, if you have Adobe Creative Cloud installed on your machine, please update that if not already done and then, try to install PSE 12 again.

Neeraj

Updating Creative Cloud is what worked for me.

The tip on the Troubleshooter page about moving the installation folder to the root needs to be updated.

On the whole a very poor customer experience trying to get this thing installed.

ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe needs to be closed to move ahead with the installation:

1. Start task manager by right-clicking the task bar

2. Go to Processes tab & look for the aforementioned exe and click 'End Process' button

3. Then click "Retry button" incase your installation is on the same screen as the screenshot you pasted here otherwise start installation again

Alternatively, you could just restart your machine; this would close all such processes & carry on with your installation. That should fix the problem.

thanks.

I did several restarts before I came to the forum. Thanks for your input anyway.
