External Hard drive download?

I have an Acer laptop which is too short on storage capacity to download Adobe Lightroom.  I have attempted to download it using an external hard drive, but it was unsuccessful.  How do I download it?

Do you mean install to a different drive?

If so, then you can change "Install Location" in the Preferences of the CC Desktop app... Here's the help page:

Use the Creative Cloud desktop app to manage your apps and services

If you mean download to a different drive (because your primary is low on space), then you can use the Creative Cloud direct links – just right-click on the link and select "Save As..." with the location you want:

You should be able to download to any location you choose, but you may only install to an internal drive

If the download process won't allow you to use your external, move some data files to the external to make space
