Following Windows 7 Repair Install, Photoshop gives error message 0xc01500002

Due to corruption of some system files, I had to do a Repair Install of Windows 7.

When I try to start Photoshop CS6, I get error message 0xc01500002.   When I try to run Elements 10, I get a different error: "side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

Other apps run fine.

Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Craig

Craig I would recommend you begin with removing and reinstalling your Adobe Creative applications.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files then they are available at Other downloads.

Updated information - Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit (if it matters).

Regarding the Elements 10 error, if I insert the original CD, it gives me an option of deactivating Elements and uninstalling.  Can I then reinstall it on the same machine?

Thanks, Jeff.  I had not taken the time for the latest update.  Last night I reinstalled both CS6 and Elements.  In both cases I have the original disks.  It was a painless process - not near the hassle it could have been.  All of my settings and preferences were even retained!  As of now, everything seems to be working as it should.

Excellent.  Thanks for the update Craig!
