Free online Acrobat Viewer that delivers directly to a Web Browser??? Does it Exist?

is there an online VIEWER that lets people VIEW an ADOBE ACROBAT document without the need to DOWNLOAD it?

I live in RURAL ARIZONA is a small community, we have ZERO budget.

I have created a half-dozen Picture-mentaries but people with SMART PHONES do NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD a FILE

they want to VIEW IT INSTANTLY in their web browser... is there an online SERVICE that permits me to

POST my ADOBE ACROBAT Picture-Mentaries and let's the world simply VIEW THEM in their WEB BROWSER for FREE?

Here is the background...

I read Bryan Lamkin's interesting BLOG article titled

THERE’S A BETTER WAY: MAKING THE LEAP TO 100% DIGITAL DOCUMENT WORKFLOWS

at: http://news.adobe.com/press-release/document-cloud/adobe-sign-debuts-integrated-adobe-marketing-cloud-paperless-customer

I've been using his ideas to create my Picture-mentaries.

The photos tell the story. The end-user sizes the "frame" to fit their screen and

simply SCROLLS UP and DOWN to view the article interactively.

I'm using the features of Adobe Acrobat to "publish" my Picture-mentaries

They are designed to be viewed on a smartphone but also work on Tablets, Laptops, and Big-Screen TVs with Internet access.

The Picture-mentaries contain "hot links" that bring in other content, such as YouTube videos

or link to on-line resources like websites.

Because of ADOBE ACROBAT's marvelous functionality,

anyone with a "screen" can easily enjoy my Picture-mentaries.

I am hoping that an appropriate contact person from Adobe can be found for me to talk with

about the possibilities of what I call "publishing direct-to-glass"

Right now it's sort of in the realm of "folk art"

but with Adobe's help we can turn this into

a first-class publishing system that will help grow the usage for

Adobe Acrobat and for all Adobe's cloud-based services.

I can SHARE one of my Picture-mentary files with you via email but I didn't see

any way to UPLOAD it to this online forum. Can anybody help?

Best regards,

Gerry Kaufhold in Kearny, Arizona

Yeah, I see. The SCRIBD place seems very easy to use and displays many file formats.

Adobe offers space for publishing, Publish online (via InDesign) and Behance (as a sort of showcase). But you can get access and upload only as a paying subscriber of the Creative Cloud. They are not interested in giving away free space and display technologies - don't get your hopes up.

You do not have to use wordpress. There is more free blog software, some with webspace included. Blogger, Jimdo, Tumblr are just some examples. You'll find tutorials at youtube, so you can see in advance if it's too complicated or easy enough.

Publishing direct to glass is called "HTML file" or "webpage" - why the detour via *.pdf?

How do I do a REPLY TO ALL for the people who comment on my question?

Mylenium and Fenjas - THANK YOU for your quick and in-depth responses!

RE: Why the detour via *.PDF?

I know how to use Microsoft WORD and publish to PDF. I suspect that tens of millions of people around the planet also can do this.

WHY DO I HAVE TO LEARN HTML and become a WEB PAGE PROGRAMMER (via WORDPRES)?? When my content is ALREADY DONE? Here's the deal... for the past six months I've been successfully uploading my PDF files to a service called SCRIBD. When you follow this link you'll see a Picture-mentary of The Kearny Dragon. I send out the LINK, anyone who follows the link gets a preview of PAGE ONE, and then they simply use their fingers to "right size" that on the viewing screen of their Smart Phone or Tablet.

Then they just SCROLL UP or SCROLL DOWN to read the article which is heavy on photos and looks liike an in-color Sunday Comic Strip on a smart phone.

Follow this link to check it out: Kearny Dragon

Kearny Dragon

can't see the actual URL for some reason but please try to follow that LINK

(Kearny Dragon

BUT Scribd got acquired by another company and they TURNED OFF THEIR FREE PREVIEW FEATURE!

Now someone who follows that link must DOWNLOAD The SCRIBD APP and start a thirty day free trail that

leads to an optin paid service. BUMMER FOR ME!

But surely ADOBE might be interested in creating "an On-Ramp to Publishing direct to glass" that opens the

market for people like me who don't know HTML or WORD PRESS or the other more technical requirements.

If there was a way for me to UPLOAD an example of one of my Picture-mentaries to this FORUM it's possible the

technologists at ADOBE would find a way to duplicate the "viewer" that SCRIBD already has but has blocked.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your knowledgeable inputs. gkkearny@gmail.com

There can be no such thing. It's inherent in how a PDF file works. The only way would be server-side processing that fetches PDF pages and associated content selectively and that is technically way more complex than just uploading a file somewhere, so one might just as well move on to using native web authoring and avoid PDF alltogether.
