Hey there
We're running CS5 in our studio but have been supplied a CS5.5 indesign file. I tried to download the 30-day trial to convert to IDML but on three Mac machines and two Windows machines I tried to install it on I get the error "Adobe InDesign is not properly licensed and will now quit."
This is on a mixture of machines that have previous had Adobe software installed and also machines that have never had any software other than Reader.
I've tried uninstalling, CS cleaner tool, reinstalling, the works. Tried calling Adobe Support from here in New Zealand and got hung up on twice, before I could talk to a human.
In our frustration we tried purchasing a subscription license and entering it to start the software. Again, "Adobe InDesign is not properly licensed and will now quit." Even on a totally fresh install (after the cleaner etc).
What on earth is going on?? Is there something wrong with Adobe's servers?
I've been up most of the night trying to resolve this. So frustrating!

Hi,
Please check after changing your system time clock to the Pacific standard Time zone and then check.
Also please specify the Operatiing system on which you are facing theis issue , all is it on all the system.

PS. I've also tried creating a fresh Adobe ID in case there's something wrong with my ID... no cigar.

I see another New Zealander on this forum had a similar problem (unsolved) with CS5 over a year ago. Perhaps it's a regional problem?

Wow, fired up first pop with no issue. Didn't even need to put in the serial again or reinstall. I've changed the time zone back to ours and it still seems to be fine!
Thanks heaps Manish!!

I'm having similar issues with the CS5 download.
I've been using CS3 for the last few years and I JUST used it on Friday, but today I'm getting a notification that licensing for that product has stopped working.
I tried downloading InDesign CS5.5 just to use the trial version for a project due this week, and I've gotten through the download and everything, but now every time I try to "accept" the terms of use, the dialog box disappears and then reappears with the same "accept" or "quit" options.
Am I missing something?
Any tips on how to get this thing to work?
Thanks!
