I pay for Creative Cloud. Stop spamming.

Geez.

It's not ok to keep "tricking" with menubar notifications that indicate a software update -- and then turn out to be just more useless spam.

I pay.

Stop spamming.

This is exactly the kind of dumbass annoyance that will encourage me, for one, to look for other options.

Could you please share a screenshot of the blue update message?
What version of Photoshop are you working on?
Have you checked the Creative Cloud app to see if any update is available for Photoshop or not?

These sort of spam notices show up as notifications in my Creative Cloud Mac menu bar icon, the red dot -- so I have to click it to see if there is an update -- and then it just turns out to be more spam -- the red dot appears no different from when it shows up to indicate a legit app update notification.

It's spam, on a paid app, and there needs to be a way to turn it off.
