There is a user forum dedicated to Adobe Illustrator. You might want to post there to get assistance from Illustrator specialists: Illustrator

    Check inside Finder>Go> Applications.

Dock and Desktop will be different for different user accounts.

Ive tried this but the problem now is that the illustrator is only downloaded on one side and not the new admin , so it will not allow me to open there..

Delete that folder and try to launch Illustrator CS 3 and check .

    Still same .???

Before performing steps like uninstallation and running cleaner tools..etc.

It is better to check with New Admin account once .

    1. Click on Apple icon and then select System Preferences option and then click on Accounts icon.

    2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and type the password.

    3. Click the Add button below the list of accounts.

    4. From the New Account pop-up menu Choose a type as Administrator

    5. Enter a name for the account as Test.

    6. Leave the Password blank.. or enter password , { your choice }

    7. Click Create Account.

    8. Restart the computer.

Then log in to new account and try to launch Illustrator and check.

Well what happened was I wasn't able to previously download the illustrator in the entire suite for some reason , because it was listing it as installed currently , so what I did was install a separate illustrator version thinking i would be able to use my purchased serial and the serial didnt work , so what I did was i removed the entire suite and the illustrator then was able to reinstall the entire suite with illustrator..only thing now is that it still crashes like it did before i started the whole installation process..there is some file somewhere that is corrupting...

    Yes , exactly

Follow above steps mentioned and then open Preferences folder under ~/library.

If present trash Adobe Illustrator related files and folders,

Then try to launch Illustrator CS 3 and check.

Still same ?? let me know

I am afraid there is no installation support for older version apps from Adobe. only Activation support is available for CS 5 and below versions.

However  , you can try with few more steps .

May I know whether you had installed any Adobe applications other than Illustrator CS 3 ?
