I bought HomeSite 4.0 in 1999 with a 15-digit s/n beginning HS40E.

I upgraded to HomeSite 5.5 in 2006 with a 21-digit s/n beginning HSW550.

Now I cannot install these on my new PC with Windows 7.

The HomeSite 55 install OK and when opening for the first time asks for the s/n.

This is accepted but then I am asked for the old s/n (because this is an update).

This is not accepted (the OK button never lights up).

This happened once before (when doing a complete HD reinstall) and an agent gave me by phone an s/n to try and it worked.

It was a one-time number (he said) so I don't know what it was.

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:

There is a HomeSite fourm as part of the Adobe forums where you might look for an answer or could maybe post your question...  thugh it looks like it is few and far between as far as postings go.
