I have owned ADOBY Acrobat software for some 20 + years. Now out of nowhere Adobe does not let me use my own software until I reactivate a licence. They do not ask for payment, just provide a form with 2 choces. 1, ..reactivate by internet, 2. reactivate by phone. If I try by Internet it says that they do not recognise my server. If I try by phone, none of the phone numbers are in service. Any other attempt to resolve this issue results in an attempt to sell me something !
I do not want to purchase anythin, just want to use my software I paid for in full many years ago. How did Adobe get in to my computer to shut down my software is nothing but a PIRACY !
>Acrobat 8 Professional
I **think** that was the same time as CS3 or CS4 - which means it can't be activated
NOTE - The CS2-CS3-CS4 activation servers have been removed from service

-So even if you have a disc or saved download, CS2-CS3-CS4 are completely dead

Hello,
I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
The email address you used to log in to the community is not linked to any subscription or license. Do you have a serial number for the Acrobat app? If you have registered it, you can find it here: Find Serial Number.
If you're using an older version of Acrobat, could you please share the version details? You can check the version using this guide: Identify Product Version.
For troubleshooting steps, please refer to this article: Acrobat Licensing & Trial Issues.
I hope this helps,
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hi,
Thank you for reply, to be frank, I did not think anyone would.
I do not know if and which email addresses are registered but I have noticed that Adobe had a GeorgeBoehm200@gmail.com which was incorrect as it was missing one ZERO. Correct one was GeorgeBoehm2000@gmail.com. It does not matter as I changed it to Gvytasek@gmail.com and all communication should be directed to that address from now on !!!
As I have mentioned, the software I purchased was Acrobat 8 Professional in about 2006. Requirement was Win2000, so you know how old it is, but I have used it daily up till now when a note appeared on first page telling me to re-register the software, just click here. That action did produce another note saying "Not connected to Internet" which is a nonsense ! Alternative was to register by phone numbers provided. That did not work either as none were in service. So now I have a pile of work to do, with documents that need to be scanned and so on.
From attached screen shot you can see what it is. All I am asking is to restore functionality of my software, I do not want to join any software company, nor I want to purchase anything, Been there, Done that ! Thank you for your kind help.

@george_7755 and perhaps others
this is an old thread but you can use offline activation:
Launch the product.
At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.
Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.
Write down the Request Code.
Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.
Click Offline Activation.
Sign in with your Adobe ID.
Enter your Request code and click Generate.
Write down the Response code.
Switch back to the offline computer.
Enter the Response Code and click Activate.

Thank You , I will try your suggestion, but......I understand that servers are "DEAD", but I do not need ACTIVATION nor do I need any SERVERS.The Acrobat software was activated and worked well until ADOBE reached in to my computer under pretense of upgrading and removed the activation.Plain and simple. If I was not connected to the Internet it would have not happened and software would continue to function as before.I do have an old laptop with Acrobat professional 4. It never connects to Internet and functions
as it always has, without ADOBE Help !!!
So the only thing that is clear is that ADOBE has committed THEFT, to create new REVENUE.

No can do. Sorry.
Acrobat 4 (released in 1999) is obsolete-ware. It hasn't been supported in over 2 decades.
MODERN OPTIONS:
==============
FREE Acrobat Reader -- view, comment, print & sign PDF.
https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader.html
Paid Acrobat Pro -- the complete solution for creating and saving PDF.
https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/acrobat-pro.html
Good luck.

No typo. I meant what I said. Obsolete-ware from 1999 was pre-activation era.

i haven't seen that. i saw the 2/12 post (op's 2nd. post here) with "As I have mentioned, the software I purchased was Acrobat 8 Professional in about 2006."
but i dont see any "mention" of it prior to that sentence (though i find it challenging to find the useful info when there's so much verbiage).
