How can I login to Adobe Application Manager and connect to Adobe Server?

I am not able to activate  my Creative Suite because Iogging in I get the error: "Unable to contact Adobe. Please connect to the internet and try." in Adobe Application Manager (which is the former application for Creative cloud Desktop) on Windows XP.

Of course, I am well sure to be connected to Internet !

Moreover, when I try to start an application (like Illustrator belonging to CS6) it says the following: "Renew your subscription, We're sorry but we're not able to connect to the Adobe Server right now".

I've already used those products during the first half of 2017 on my PC, so I know that they work on it : I choose CS6 because it is supported on WinXP by Adobe.

My suspect is that Adobe made recently some changes on their Login Servers and those modifications are now preventing winXP systems to access their servers. Could that have to do with some older encyption protocols (say TLS 1.0 o 1.1)  been disabled on Adobe's servers in favour of newer ones like TLS 1.2 which I don't think is supported  in WinXP ?

Thank you very much, but of course I've tried most of the suggestion that you can find in the forum and in the help section with no luck.

Is there anyone that is experiencing my same problems with XP?

I am trying to use CS6 which Adobe claims to support WinXP. And in fact I can confirm you that in 2017 (more or less until October) it worked without any issues

I tested today the "pong" site  that you pointed me in and it worked with FF, Chrome but not IE, from the same PC with the firewall shutted down. And in fact FF and Chrome both have built-in support for TLS 1.2, but IE (on WinXP) is still stuck on TLS 1.0 as well as I suppose the whole WinXP platform.

So in WinXP, which secure protocol  Adobe Application Manager is using to connect to the Login server ?

Mine is just a conjecture. If it were true all CS6 running on WinXP would suffer from the same problem and ultimately it would mean that Adobe stopped to support WinXP.

The easy solution would be to upgrade to a newer platform, but I am a student and cannot afford right now further expenses !

if you can connect with one of your browser's, cs6 should be able to connect.  i'm just not sure where you got a cs6 subscription version if you weren't able to install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
