Adobe Acrobat 9 stopped working on my computer, and instead showed Error message stating that there was an issue with my license agrement. The message indicated that I should UNINSTALL and reinstall, however I cannot find a download for Adobe Acrobat 9, and I've already uninstalled Acrobat 9 Standard. I can only find Adobe Acrobat XI. Further, when I try to install the "standard" version of Adobe Acrobat XI, it brings me only to a "Pro" web page. And, then I'm only given 2 options...to BUY or install the trial version. Further, I can't even install the Trial Version into my "Programs" file due to another error message saying there is a conflict with Windows. How do I get back my original version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard so that I can reinstall and submit my original serial number?
Excellent thank you for the update Tammy! I would recommend that you back up the installation files in case you ever need the installation files again in the future.

Hi Ned,
Thank you.
I downloaded Arobat 9, and followed the run/install wizard.
When I put my serial number in the space, it says it's invalid.
I tired both serial numbers that I have for products listed on my Adobe Products page:
Acrobat 9: <Removed by Moderator>
Acrobat 6: <Removed by Moderator>
What should I do now?

Ned,
Also, the links from the forum go to the Acrobat 9 PRO...not Acrobat 9 Standard. My serial number goes with Standard, so maybe that's why it's not working. I see others had this same issue.
How can I get this resolved? Thank you.

Tammy819 did you purchase Acrobat 9 Standard from Adobe directly? If so did you choose the download option at the time of purchase? If the answer to both of those questions is yes then it maybe possible to download Acrobat 9 Standard from your account at http://www.adobe.com/.
If you did not purchase Acrobat 9 Standard from Adobe directly the I would recommend contacting your reseller.

Tammy the option will only be made available if you choose the option to download at the time of purchase. Please see Find a download link on Adobe.com - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/find-download-link.html#main_I_just_purchased_an_Adobe_prod... for information on how to locate software under your account.
If you received the software on CD then it will not be available for you to download under your account.

Hey Jeff,
This worked!
Thank you for offering the most helpful piece of advice I received. I don't know why I couldn't get this advice sooner. Adobe's support is frustrating. But your simple e-mail fixed everything.
I couldn't see the previous download because Adobe defaults to "Recent Orders", and I didn't even recall whether or not I had purchased it from the site. I don't ever have need to come to the Adobe site, so I didn't think to look further for possible past downloads since I'm just not familiar with the site.
Thank you again.

OMG Thank you so much Jeff.
This helped me too. I couldn't find the download link for Acrobat 9 standard anywhere even though I had found my original order and serial number on My Account I couldn't find out how to get it until i read your instructions. Thank you so much. No one else on the chat site could help - in fact they said it couldn't be done and I would have to pay for an upgrade !!
Thanks again.

Jeff hi. I installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard (perpetual) in my old (Samsung) laptop. I have also Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed.
I want to install Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard in my new Dell laptop. I tried but installation failed because of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? It says: Setup has detedted that you already have a more fucntional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
Please help.

Adobe no longer allow Reader and Acrobat on the same computer, with recent changes. If you want to keep using this old paid-for software you can no longer get the benefit of new features in Reader, I guess.

@Test Screen Name Thank you very much for the info. I have no choice. I just wonder why Adobe makes things hard for elderly and retired user like me. Perhaps, what can I do (tho it's a hustle), work in my old laptop ad copy the file in my new Dell. Hopefully, I can find cheap pdf app. Again, a bunch of thanks.
