How do I transfer CS5 from my old mac to my new mac?

I need to transfer CS5 from my old mac to my new mac.

My CS5 was purchased at my university in 2010. I have no disk or product key.

My old and new macs are running OS Sierra.

Help Please! To repurchase really isn't an option but i need the program for my work.

Adobe applications need to be installed using installation files - transferring between machines will not work.  You are also likely to face a problem getting CS5 to install on a machine with the Sierra operating system.  I know you said your old machine has it, but if so, it might be one of the reasons you need to install it elsewhere (something with an older OS).

Thank you for this information.

I have downloaded CS5 Design Standard via Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products  but am then faced with the warning message below when i go to open the installer.

"warning

the following disk images couldnt be opened

Design standard CS5- not recognised"

I have taken a look at the other link you sent about installing on OS sierra but i can't make sense of it to be honest?

I have been contacted by someone via skype, claiming to be Adobe, saying that I need to make a payment for CS6 via moneygram, as my existing CS5 i am trying to install is no longer usable. I'm assuming this is a scam!?

I've still had no luck with this? I download design standard via the link, and then go to open the file and it says it cannot be opened, 'image not recognized'.

Answering on the chance you still need this ... the solution: download and use FileZilla to ftp the file.

ftp.adobe.com then navigate to /pub/adobe
