How do you quit safari notifications?

I am installing CS6 and it says to continue the download, Safar Notifications must be closed. How do I do that?

Open The Search (Spotlight) and type in Activity Monitor, it should be the first hit after typing in Ac...Unless you have more programs! Double Click to launch Activity Monitor , under the column of "Process Name" find the "Safari Notification Agent" select it by double clicking, a popup window with that process opens, in the bottom right corner click the quit button,  a conformation window will open at the bottom select Quit or "force quit"! then continue with the installation by hitting retry! After the installation is best to shut down and restart to get the quit programs running again!

‌if you have a Mac go to

applications> utilities> activity monitor

type safari in the in the right corner search box

Once you find safari notifications click on it so that it is highlighted and then click on the top left "x" in the corner

I followed the directions: - activity monitor - safari notification - force quit ; hit retry and it says it is still open. I decide maybe I need to reboot my computer and start download again. Same error. HELP please

    Stephen C's response works. I knew about Activity Monitor, but I could *not* find Safari Notifications in that list! What helped me, and might help others, is to click in the tabs/title bar to list the open items alphabetically. Then I could find Safari Notifications and quit it. It had me stumped for a while!

    This worked for me.

    Hit cancel - everything except Acrobat got installed.

    Restart.

    DON'T launch Safari

    Instal again, only Acrobat will be available.

      If you open Activity Monitor and find the "Safari Notification Agent" item, you can select it, then choose to Force Quit it. Then go back to the Adobe installer and choose Continue.

        Just did a quick search on "how do I quit Safari Notification Agent?" (something I'd never heard of until Adobe installer wanted me to quit-it).  Anyway, I found your answer immediately.  So whenever you posted it, you've helped me enormously.  Thanks.
