I have a subscription to Lightroom 4 and I pay each month for it. But I changed my computer and now I have a Mac with Yosemite. I want to change for a subscription with Lightroom 5 and stop my subscription with Lightroom 4. How can I do it?

hi Anabelle,

Is this a Creative Cloud subscription? In that case you can use the following steps.

  • In the menu-bar at the top of your computer screen locate the Creative Cloud icon.
  • Click the Creative Cloud icon to see the Desktop app.
  • At the top find Apps, and click on Apps.
  • Locate Lightroom 5, and click on the Install button next to it.
  • Next to Lightroom 4, there should be a gear-icon that you can click to uninstall Lightroom 4.

Note, it could be that if you've not used the Creative Cloud application

hi Anabelle,

Is this a Creative Cloud subscription? In that case you can use the following steps.

  • In the menu-bar at the top of your computer screen locate the Creative Cloud icon.
  • Click the Creative Cloud icon to see the Desktop app.
  • At the top find Apps, and click on Apps.
  • Locate Lightroom 5, and click on the Install button next to it.
  • Next to Lightroom 4, there should be a gear-icon that you can click to uninstall Lightroom 4.

Note, it could be that if you've not used the Creative Cloud application for a while that it prompts you to update it first. Run through the prompts and then log back in with your Adobe ID and password that is associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

Also if you've not yet installed the Creative Cloud desktop app, here's a link that will help:

Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop

Once you've upgraded you can upgrade your Lightroom 4 catalogues to Lightroom 5.

I hope this helps.

Cari
