how to download and install audition 3.0

I bought Audition 3.0 a few years ago.

I just bought a new computer.

The 30 days has elapsed and now I can't register it.

Audition is no longer supported, so they gave me a link to download the program.

I've downloaded it, but don't know what to do from here. 

Please help.

1. Install it
2. Enter your serial number when prompted

Have you tried those steps or are you struggling with them in some way?

I open up Audition 3.0 setup.

Choose English as the language.

Then the window disappears.  

It never installs and has not asked me for a serial number

Does your system meet the system requirements?

System requirements | Adobe Audition

Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions)

It might result in issue when running a more recent OS, general troubleshoot: Troubleshoot installation problems | Audition 3 | Windows Vista, XP

Yes.  I have a new HP Laptop.

In fact, the program was working fine before the registration period expired.

What did you do - abandon Audition 3 or finally get it working?
