how to get lightroom 5 activated without trialling

I recently bought a new desktop and have reinstalled the lightroom 5. I open lightroom but it does not allow me to activate the key code which I have as it is on a trialling basis for another 6 days. Is there a way around it to start activating it?

    if you have lr 5, it's not a creative cloud (subscription) app.  you should NOT be using the cc app for lr 5.

    directly download the installation file (for 5.7.1) using the below link, and activate it during installation (with your serial number).

    Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

    • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

    you need your lr 5 serial number to activate from trial to full version.

    you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

    1. if you purchased from or registered with adobe (automatically done with cs6):,

        a. you can check your account, https://accounts.adobe.com

        b. you can check with adobe support* (be prepared to give the email address used when registering purchasing)

    2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:)  https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

    3. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

    Hi

    Thanks for the info

    I already have the serial number. When I go to creative cloud app and in Lightroom there's a botton that says Buy Now I click on it and no where on the page it asks if I have the serial number. I already bought the software. There must be a link somewhere

    Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

    Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

    What is the exact error message that you see?
