How to install Adobe Photoshop CS5 from 2011 on macOS Sierra?

Hello

I have bought a license of Adobe Photoshop CS5 in 2011 for 924€ and would like to install it on my Mac running macOS Sierra. I have the serial number. I have found the download for PS CS5 but when I click "Install" I get an error. There seems to be a problem with verification and signage.

a) is it possible to run CS5 from 2011 on current Macs? Is my license still valid?
b) what do I have to do to install it?
c) I currently have a PS CC subscription but I want to cancel it

Thank you

Andreas

Legacy CS5 is not supported by Sierra.  The installation routine won't work as expected.  Below are some workarounds you could try.
