How to uninstall old versions of CS3, CS4, CS5 of Bridge, Device Central, and Extension Manager

Explorer ,
Oct 20, 2014 Oct 20, 2014

I have the following files:

Adobe Bridge CS3

Adobe Bridge CS4

Adobe Bridge CS5.1

Adobe Device Central CS3

Adobe Device Central CS4

Adobe Device Central CS5

Adobe Device Central CS5.5

Adobe Extension Manager CS4

Adobe Extension Manager CS5

Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5

I want to delete the old versions of these files, but Adobe says I need to use the installers in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, but there are no relevant files in that folder. Any ideas on how to do this properly on a Mac.

Dancingjewel did you migrate/transfer/copy these applications from an existing Macintosh installation to this current hard drive?

Almost certainly.

Then please utilize the CC Cleaner Tool to attempt to recover from the migrations/transfer/copy process.  You can find the download and instructions at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

I had already tried that, and wasn't enthusiastic with the lack of documentation (it looked like I was about to delete ALL Adobe products). So I didn't go through with the cleaning.

And looking again, that appears to be what would happen, and I would follow this by re-installing the latest version of Photoshop (and associated programs). Is this correct?

That is correct Dancingjewel.  Migrating/transferring/copying Adobe applications is not supported and often leads to unexpected behavior.  To resolve this you will want to attempt to completely remove the current installations utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool and then reinstall.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Other downloads.

Great, I will try this when I have a little free time. Obviously it isn't urgent since my programs still run!

Thanks!
