ERROR: - PreMacContentInstaller: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure

could someone please help. i received this package of adobe photoshop elements/adobe premiere elements 9 several months ago.

i am just getting around to using now but am on a deadline (unfortunately).

i just installed the photoshop elements 9 (part of the package) and that went fine. but when i tried to install disc 2, it gave the above error (again:

ERROR: - PreMacContentInstaller: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure)

i know that there is a newer version of this software now. i am thinking that maybe it is not compatible with the new Mac OS. but then why did the Photoshop Elements 9 work?

if anyone out there can help - i would greatly appreciate it! i hope i don't have to buy the upgrade - but i am somehow thinking that might be the solution. thanks a lot,
