I can't find my serial number for my CS 5.5

I can't find my serial number for my CS5.5, which I need for the upgrade to Creative Cloud. It seems like I haven't registered it and the receipt is somewhere lost at my old employer. Adobe can't seem to find the programs when scanning when I try to buy CC. Isn't there someway to find it in the actual programs? Thankful for any help or insight in the matter.

If it's a Windows machine then try running Belarc Advisor
