Hi.

I cannot download Adobe XD

The Summary tells

Exit Code: 183

WARN: Program "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe/Adobe XD/PluginCleanup.exe" failed with exit code: -1073740791

I already tried " Error code 183 when installing XD on Windows  "  all steps of this for three times.

And I tried to redownload for more than 10 times.

Also I also updated my window and window store to the latest version.

But I cannot still download it.

Please help me TT

I am really sorry to hear about the encountered problem and I am really happy that our community managed to come with a workaround (great job Mudabir). In the meantime we identified the issue as being related to some older versions of MS Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable which might be present on some machines. We implemented a fix around it and it is already publicly available starting today with the latest version of XD, namely version 21.1. The update is available through the Creative Cloud application.

As a note, the fix addresses the specific case of error 183 during installation caused by the failure to run "PluginCleanup.exe" (which is the exact one mentioned in this thread).

    HI There.

    Please try this simple step to fix this issue

    Go to CONTROL PANEL>Programs and features> Add or remove programs

    Look for the programs whose name starts with Microsoft visual C++

    There must be 7 or more such programs

    Uninstall all of them one by one

    Then try to Install XD

    once XD is successfully downloaded you can Restart your machine and all the microsoft visual c++ programs will reappear again

    YOU ARE ALL SET

    Adobe XD is a  high performance UWP app which means your computer must meet the minimum system requirements (Windows 1703 or higher) and your profile must have administrative level permissions to install it.   If you're on a Team or Enterprise account, talk to your IT dept.   See links below.

      update your os. 

      if that fails, do you have 64 bit win 10?  if yes, what version?
