Am very unhappy that, after a long period, of happily using my existing Adobe Audition 2.0 that I now cannot re-install and activate this on a newer laptop. The so-called support team seam only interested in flogging me the Adobe Creative Cloud product, which I neither want nor need.

Given that I have already paid once for my existing product, how can I go about getting this activated? Any help would be gratefully received as I am extremely unhappy that I have been sent chasing my tail with links about reactivation which lead nowhere. It was not my choice to de-activate the relevant server which used to allow my to enter serial number etc...

CS2 + Acrobat 7 + Audition 3 (AND EARLIER) Activation Server is gone, so read below

You MUST use the special version and serial number on the page, not your original disc or serial number

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--help links and Adobe solution to Apple's problem in this message https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

    -or more on permissions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2293598

    you can't use audtion 2.

you may qualify to (legally) use audition 3.  read the instructions at the first link in message 1 to see if you qualify.  read the rest of the info in message 1 to see what problems you may encounter when using such out-dated software.
