Illustrator 32-bit versus 64-bit

I bought Adobe CS6 with Illustrator and installed it successfully on my 64-bit desktop computer. It runs fine, no problems. However, I accidently installed the 32-bit version on my 64-bit laptop. Now I want to add an Illustrator plug-in ( Xtreme Path by C Valley) that requires the 64-bit version of Illustrator. It installs and runs OK on my desktop, but won't install on my laptop because it requires the 64-bit version of Illustrator. How do I uninstall the 32-bit version of CS6 and download and reinstall the 64-bit version?

on 64 bit computers, both 64 bit and 32 bit versions are installed.  check your laptop for the 64bit version.
