Illustrator CS2 install on a new hard drive

I have Illustrator CS 2 and need to install on a new hard drive.  I am told the Adobe now longer has links to this product and the serial number activation will not work with the discs.  Any help?  I paid a lot of money for these programs and am upset that Adobe is preventing me from using them, from installing them on a new hard drive.

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore

    -also https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html

First you say Illustrator, now you say Photoshop

If you really mean Photoshop, and CS2 won't install/run on Win10, you may buy Photoshop Elements Easy Photo & Video Editing Software | Adobe Elements 2019 Family

Support for CS2 ended almost 2 decades ago.  You can't run  software forever...

For simple cropping and color adjustments, you don't need an awesome pro level tool like Photoshop.  You can get by with almost any photo editor --  Gimp or Affinity Photo for example.

Hi! You didn't mention how new/old your machine is, but please do keep in mind that CS2 is pretty outdated at this point. If you're upgrading your machine, you'll eventually need to upgrade your software, too. Just wanted to throw that out there for you Best of luck!!

I am running Windows 10 with 16gb ram and a 500gb SSD.  I just need Photoshop to do occasional cropping and color balance, mostly to  revise and update photos in Illustrator on projects that were done several years ago.  CS is more than enough
