Question

Illustrator CS4 installation on Mac OS X Yosemite

Hi I have Adobe CS4 Design Premium (from 2009) installed on my (2013) iMac with Yosemite Version 10.10.3. I was able to install all the other programs to my computer last year except Illustrator. I thought I'd give it another try but have read all the suggestions and tried everything I could think of to no success.

Is Illustrator CS4 simply not compatible with Yosemite? I've read this on several forums from earlier posts (2014) but was hoping in the past 2 years they were able to do something to fix that?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Both CS4 and Yosemite are long superseded.

Neither Apple nor Adobe are working to fix anything to make them compatible. Both companies are focussing on tomorrow's software.
