Impossible to cancel subscription

I signed up for a free trial to Acrobat and never used the service again. A while later, started getting charged $14.99 per month and here is where the nightmare started. I cancelled online and got charged anyway. I went to support today and the rep would not cancel my account. Everytime I asked, I would get a response like: "you still have 3 month of fee service in your account" or "you can save money by paying an annual fee"... After asking to cancel my account about 5 times, the rep says that I will be charged $29.99 as a cancellation fee and (again) would not cancel my service. It took  a half hour for the rep to "agree" to cancel my service and now I'm stuck with a $30 bill. 
During sign up to the trial, there is not mention of these charges but it's buried in the term and conditions. This is a deceptive business practice at best. Not sure where to go with this complaint so I'm posting it here. If anyone knows where to go, please let me know. My other alternative is to dispute the charge with through my credit card and file a complaint with a regulator such as the FTC.

Did you get a confirmation email notifying successfull cancellation? If so did you show the support rep the email and point that the issue might be with the system and you did cancel on time?
