Incorrect login, Won't let me logout

I am trying to uninstall Creative Cloud. I installed it for the free trial and just am not ready to pay for the program yet.

My issue is I logged in when downloading it with a new account where I misspelled my email address. Now trying to uninstall it says I need to verify my email to get started. Obviously I don't have access to the incorrect email to verify it. I even tried to sign up for that email address but it is taken.

Everywhere I read says I should be able to click on the "gear emblem" at the top and logout. When I click on that the only options that drop down are "help", "pin to menu bar", and "quit". I have tried refreshing the app by pressing "option + command + r" but when it reloads, everything is the same.

Is there a way around this? Is there another way to uninstall creative cloud from my macbook?

Thank You for you assistance!

Hi Ben,

Please follow the below steps:

1- Click on the settings wheel on the top right corner of Creative Cloud app > preferences > Quit

2- Force Quit all Adobe related processes from Activity Monitor (eg- Creative Cloud, Core sync, CC library, Adobe Desktop Services, Adobe IPC broker, Adobe Crash daemon etc.)

3- Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To" Folder option.

You will get a text box, type in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( " Do not miss ~ symbol " )

~/library ( It will open User Library folder. )

4- Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe> trash OOBE folder and AAM Updater folder as well

5- Launch Creative cloud app and sign in

To uninstall the Creative cloud app:

Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application
