hi, I have just upgraded from Sierra to high Sierra making a clean installation. I reinstalled photoshop elements with no problem. instead lightroom 5 does not accept the serial number provided which is obviously the correct one. I have even checked into the adobe site and the serial number I'm writing is correct. someone can help me understand where is the problem? thanks. Renzo.

Renzot I am sorry that you continue to have the serial number rejected when installing Lightroom 5.  Are you using the Lightroom 5.7.1 installation files available at Download Photoshop Lightroom?

If so can you also confirm that you are using your registered serial number Renzot?  For information on how to locate your registered serial numbers see Find your serial number.

Since Lightroom 5 is currently unable to launch I would recommend you begin by removing the current installation.  Please use the uninstaller available in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers to remove Lightroom 5.

Hi renzot,

Do you get an error message when you enter your serial number while installation?

Moving this discussion to Downloading, Installing, Setting Up so that our experts can help.

Thanks,

Hi Akash, yes, I wrote the serial number, and I got the error message. Now is even worst because lightroom 5, at opening, was asking me to introduce the license number or activate the trial version. So I tried to open the trial version thinking to introduce the serial number later, but the program now cicles continuously on the page where it asks to accept the contract. I tried to close the program or shutting down the Mac, relaunching Lightroom but it always sticks at the program acceptance page and never goes ahead to ask for the serial number.

Thanks for help
