I already have the trial version of InDesign. - I just paid my first monthly payment to buy it. - I tried to open it and it won't open. - I tried to download it after purchase and it won't download. - I have Mac OS 10.8.5 which my trial version works fine with. - Can you give me an activation code to get it started?

Thanks Steve!

In addition to the questions asked by Szalam.  Mayarowl, is InDesign and other applications indicating they are in trial mode?  If so then I see Advanced solutions to connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications  for details on how to resolve the connection error preventing your membership from activating.  If you have any questions regarding the steps listed in the document then please update this discussion.

Hellow Jeff,

I used a 30-day free trial version of InDesign to produce my book and get it printed (The Emancipation of Astronomy for the Common Man - See:<Removed by Moderator>). - It was printed on 2/6/2014. Since then I saved money to get a full-use copy of InDesign. - After I made my payment (the first monthly installment) I tried to open the trial-use copy I already had, no go. - Then I downloaded the latest version which would not open at all either. - Interestingly enough the PayPal payment I made is not showing on my PayPal account for whatever reason. - Perhaps the pay program at Adobe didn't either register my payment from PayPal, or it never acknowledged receipt. - In any case, Neither my original trial version nor the newly downloaded one will open at all, so I get no feedback about what is wrong otherwise. - •shrug• - I only needed and downloaded InDesign in both instances, not the whole CreativeSuite.

Neither program will open at all, so I never get to connectivity problems to begin with. - Thanks for responding. --RK

Mayarowl if you are using Mac OS 10.8.5 then the latest version of InDesign that will install and open in InDesign CC 2014.   Is this the version you are trying to currently open?  Do you receive any errors when opening InDesign CC 2014?

For a list of system requirements for InDesign see System requirements for Adobe InDesign CC for Mac and Windows OS .

These are public forums and not Adobe support. Most folks here are just users like you so we can't give you activation codes.

When you say it won't open, can you please be more specific? There are some problems where the Creative Cloud software will be asking you to subscribe or revert to a trial version even after you've paid, but if that's not your issue, me telling you the solution won't help.

So, is it crashing on open? Giving you messages of any kind? Coming up with a blank screen?

I'm moving to the Creative Cloud Download and Install forum. Those folks have lots more experience sorting this kind of thing out.
