InDesign Update Probelm - PLEASE HELP!!!

So I've been at this for about a week trying to figure this out, and I'm completely lost. Every time I go to update InDesign, it runs through the install in a matter of seconds, then says "Install Failed - Learn More." Which leads to "Another installer instance is running. Wait for it to finish and try again.(U44M1P36)." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

This is an error that shows up when there is another installer running on your machine, please follow the below steps to resolve this error:

WINDOWS:

1- RUN> MSCONFIG > "Hide all Microsoft services" > Now disable all services and also disable all startup programs

2- Restart Machine and try again

MAC:

1- Reboot the machine and try again
