InDesign won't open...

I updated a couple of fonts (downloaded them from Dafont.com) and InDesign shut down and now it won't reopen....I have tried un installing and reinstalling ...

Hi hooplife,

Please check the below link and try to reset InDesign's preferences. Let us know if it works.

It is acting up again...I am trying to follow the instructions in the link (I am using InDesign CC and a macintosh)

but I can't find these locations?????:

Mac OS

InDesign SavedData
Users/[user]/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign/Version [version]/InDesign SavedData

InDesign Defaults
Users/[user]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version [version]/InDesign Defaults

Here is a help article on how to find the user library on Mac OS X: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html.

The easiest way I find is to just hold down the Alt / Option key once you have selected the Go menu from the Finder. It will appear between the Home and Computer items in the menu.

@Ashish...didn't work.  Deleted both of those files and same problem exists...

For anyone else who has this problem ...

First try trashing the preferences as suggested.

This works nearly every time — but this morning it did not.

The solution for me today was to trash the entire contents of the cache folder.
