stuck on initializing creative cloud, Creative Cloud is taking longer than usual to load.

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

    Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
    Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging and then reinstall using*

if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

NOTE: win 11 users that have trouble with the latest win 10 installer often have success with the older win 10 installer.

Initialization extermely slow, I noticed that CC is maxing out the onboard Intel Iris Xe graphics 3D. Once CC completes the lengthy initialization, 3D processing on GPU drops to normal Windows levels. This appears to be what is causing my slow initialization. Why is the initialization maxing out the 3D processing on the GPU on a non-3D init window? And is there a way around this so that initialization doesn't max the GPU?

are you now saying there is no cc services utilization issue, but some other issue.

Thank you for replying. I feel I have been very specific and direct in my question and struggle to see how I've been unclear. I've made no mention of cc services, so not sure where that is coming from.

Let me try again. When launching CC, initialization takes 60+ seconds. From the time of CC launch, throughout the intialization, Windows Task Manager shows that CC is causing the 3D processing on the onboard Intel Iris Xe graphics to spike at 100% utilization onlly for the time of initialization. When Init concludes and the app has fully launched, the 3D processing drops back to normal level and the computer is no longer slowed to a crawl. The laptop is an HP Elitebook 850 G8.

The slow initialization appears to be a result of the graphics perhaps not being able to process whatever CC is using it for quickly enough, and 100% GPU utilization slows down the entire laptop for the duration of initialization of CC.  In TaskManager, there is a CC Helper UI that is eating almost all of the GPU by itself.

So, my question: Why does the CC Helper UI require so much of the 3D processing on the GPU just to initialize CC when there is no visible, on screen, 3D burden at each initialization?

If I have been unclear in any way, please ask for what info I failed to provide.

Hi!  Thanks for all of the tips.  I was able to download the desktop app (after a week of getting stuck on the initializing screen from the online version of creative cloud).  However, after downloading the desktop app using the alternative, I am still getting stuck on "loading creative cloud" (the spinning wheel).  Any other tips?  My workplace's help desk has spent hours trying to get this downloaded onto my new PC to no avail... thanks!

you're seeing that spinning wheel during installation of the cc desktop app?

    what's your os version?

have others from your work (that use the same firewall, av, internet connection) been able to install the cc desktop app?
