Hi!  Thanks for all of the tips.  I was able to download the desktop app (after a week of getting stuck on the initializing screen from the online version of creative cloud).  However, after downloading the desktop app using the alternative, I am still getting stuck on "loading creative cloud" (the spinning wheel).  Any other tips?  My workplace's help desk has spent hours trying to get this downloaded onto my new PC to no avail... thanks!

you're seeing that spinning wheel during installation of the cc desktop app?

what's your os version?

have others from your work (that use the same firewall, av, internet connection) been able to install the cc desktop app?

Yes - during installation of the CC desktop app (I also tried downloading just PS, for example, but the CC will not initialize).  My OS version is Windows 11 32 bit.  I received a new PC last week and am the first deployed... so no one else has had this problem because no one has had to install the CC on a new device this year.  I had no issue on my previous device... so maybe the PC is the problem... same network, same firewall, same settings... Thanks!

After troubleshooting this problem for most of the day I want to say thanks for posting about the Visual C++ redistributables. Repairing the x64 Virtual C++ 2015 redistributable resolved MY issue with CCDA not initializing. Adobe support was suggesting I reset my PC to factory defaults...which seemed a bit extreme.

So try repairing your C++ versions. Can't hurt!

I  have same problem on my win 11 pc, and it's solved by using the older win 10 installer.

Also, I have repaired all ms visual c++ .

But there is another issue:

It force me to update the adobe cc, like below.

If i update it, it will stuck on initializing like before.

Could i maintain the older version cc via any solution?

Or is there another solution to use the latest version cc on win 11?

My pc spec:

cpu : i5-12400f

gpu : evga 3060ti

motherboard : msi mortor b660m wifi ddr4

ssd : adata sx8200 pro 512gb

Hi there,

We understand your situation. We're here to help you with app stuck at initialization issue, however, if you wish to proceed with an older version of the app. You can always disable the option to auto update. https://adobe.ly/3vXv1xr

Having said that, Adobe always recommends keeping the app up to date so that the latest features and bug fixes can be implemented.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Shivangi

Initialization extermely slow, I noticed that CC is maxing out the onboard Intel Iris Xe graphics 3D. Once CC completes the lengthy initialization, 3D processing on GPU drops to normal Windows levels. This appears to be what is causing my slow initialization. Why is the initialization maxing out the 3D processing on the GPU on a non-3D init window? And is there a way around this so that initialization doesn't max the GPU?

if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes... and then reinstall using*

if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

I saw that, no need to copy/paste that with no actual reply, which does not, in any way, address my actual questions regarding what it is doing using/requiring so much GPU 3D processing at initialization, and whether there is a workaround to reduce that. Can you please inform on those questions specifically, as requested?

Thank you for replying. I feel I have been very specific and direct in my question and struggle to see how I've been unclear. I've made no mention of cc services, so not sure where that is coming from.

Let me try again. When launching CC, initialization takes 60+ seconds. From the time of CC launch, throughout the intialization, Windows Task Manager shows that CC is causing the 3D processing on the onboard Intel Iris Xe graphics to spike at 100% utilization onlly for the time of initialization. When Init concludes and the app has fully launched, the 3D processing drops back to normal level and the computer is no longer slowed to a crawl. The laptop is an HP Elitebook 850 G8.

The slow initialization appears to be a result of the graphics perhaps not being able to process whatever CC is using it for quickly enough, and 100% GPU utilization slows down the entire laptop for the duration of initialization of CC.  In TaskManager, there is a CC Helper UI that is eating almost all of the GPU by itself.

So, my question: Why does the CC Helper UI require so much of the 3D processing on the GPU just to initialize CC when there is no visible, on screen, 3D burden at each initialization?

If I have been unclear in any way, please ask for what info I failed to provide.
