Install CS5 on Mavericks

Can someone please help me with installing CS5 on Mavericks? Since Adobe will not help...

Ever since did the OSX Mavericks update on my laptop, I have had issues with my Creative Suite 5. I personally feel I should still be able to use this software. After issues of getting it uninstalled, I can now not reinstall it.

I have read up on this to make sure it should still work and on the Adobe site it does state this: Adobe Photoshop CS5, CS4, and CS3 were also tested with Mac OS X Mavericks and there are currently no known major issues.

Please help! Thank you!

what error message do you see when installing?

"Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Adviser to detect the problem."

All that does is send me to the support section on Adobe.com.

    kglad and Jeff A Wright,

I checked the logs and found this as the most recent:

Wed Oct 15 08:03:09 2014[FATAL] Setup - Unable to copy PDAppFlex.swf one level up.

I don't understand what I am supposed to do next. Can you help anymore?

    Thanks again!

Possibly Mousie44 can you post the surrounding lines from the log file so I can see additional context?  10 lines on either side of the error should be enough.
