I had to use a direct download in order to get creative cloud app to install, now every app gets to 35-40% and never goes passed it.

I installed several updates but Premiere Pro stopped at 37% each time I try to update it.  Every other app had no problems.

Therealpakman, what error message do you receive when you attempt to install through the Creative Cloud desktop app?  If you were previously relying on the use of local installation files, then it is very likely you are facing an unresolved network configuration error.  Are you installing on a computer and network that you manage?  What type of Creative Cloud membership are you using?

It just kept stopping at 37% during the uploading. I did clean out my cache and rebooted today. I restarted the updating and it completed this time. Thanks for reaching out to help me solve my issue.

No error message. Apps freeze after 30%-44%. I had to use direct download for creative cloud because it too was doing the same thing. Didnt have problem until creative cloud app update. Windows 10. Creative cloud suite. Home network.

Thanks for the update, Therealpakman.  Unfortunately, being stuck at a particular percentage does not tell us the exact reason the install is failing. All errors are recorded though within the installation log files.  Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-download-install-logs.html for details on how you can locate the error that is preventing the install from completing.

Please feel free to post any errors you discover to this public forum discussion.

Ok, thanks, Therealpackman. Error 109 indicates that we were unable to install the software. From the portion of the error you posted it appears the installer is being blocked when copying from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Sync\application.xml to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\PCF. Please review any installed security software that may be preventing this operation from occurring.

Ok for now I found a work around. Apparently there is a problem with the new creative cloud desktop app and windows 10 build 1907 security update oct 7th. So first thing I did was exclude google chrome from windows defender, then installed apps directly thru google chrome.

Thanks for the additional information, Therealpackman.  I am unsure why you would need to take the extra step to exclude Google Chrome in Windows Defender.  You may want to review any installed add-ons or plug-ins that you are using with Google Chrome, which may be leading to this unusual behavior.

For some reason windows defender is blocking the actual creative cloud desktop app and there is no way to exclude the actual app as it's not listed. So I just downloaded them thru the browser. It wouldn't work with Microsoft edge, so I used chrome.

That sounds extremely problematic, Therealpakman!  If you do discover a way for the  Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to no longer be blocked by Windows Defender.

I did find a few Microsoft help documents that may help.  They are as follows:
