Install - PowerPC applications no longer supported

My Mac recently crashed. In recovering my hard drive I was unable to recover and 3rd-party Apps - which includes my Adobe products, and purchased apple/mac programs.

In trying to repurchase some Apple/Mac programs I was "forced" to upgrade my OS to the most current (mountain lion) as some programs were no longer available in versions that would run on an older OS.

I'm now trying to reinstall my Creative Suite 2 and getting the following message: You can't open the application "Adobe Installer" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

I looked around at other questions/discussions on this topic, and even tried the "remove launch pref" download that I found somewhere on here - but it didn't work.

after spending many hundreds of dollars getting my computer repaired - i don't want to have to spend many many more hundreds of dollars buying a "new" version of Creative Suite. My version is just fine for what I need/use it for and it's ALREADY PAID FOR!

How can I get my software to install?

thank you.

It's not possible. Adobe can't fix what Apple hasn't supported for 3 versions now. If you can't afford to shell out a big chunk of money, you can always try Creative Cloud/ subscription.

That really SUCKS!  I think Adobe OWES a solution, or a trade in value towards a new (compatible) product!  Or maybe it's Apple/Mac that owes something.

They seem to be really "screwing" the consumer!
