indesign has downloaded from cloud to my desktop but will not open Help!! just keeps saying it has unexpectedly quit

Did you get any error while installing ID CS6?
Which OS do you have?
Have you installed any other CS6 application? If so, try launching it and check if it gives the same error.
Suggestions:
-> Launch any other CS6 application and check if that works.
-> Uninstall ID CS6 using the native uninstaller(Utilities->Adobe Installers or Control Panel->Prog/Features)
-> Create and login to a new user account and re-install ID CS6 using creative cloud's adobe application manager and check.
