Installing CS6 onto my new Mac

Guest
Dec 25, 2016 Dec 25, 2016

I bought CS6 in 2012. I saved the box, the paperwork and I even have the disc. My old Mac died last year and I'm unable to transfer pictures/apps/ect.

My fiancee bought me a new MacBook Pro for Christmas, and I no longer have the option of simply using the disc.

How do I download CS6 now?

And when you can't install your 4 year old software on Mac Sierra, read below

So basically I have to pay a monthly fee for Creative Cloud, in order to use a program I paid for a few years ago?

Not at all. Read the instructions for the Perpetual License in the helpdoc John linked you to.

I do apologize. I keep seeing Creative Cloud links and it's been making me pull my hair out. I've gone through the process and have finally made progress! Thank you so much!

I have the new mac Sierra as well, and just tried to download my version of Adobe Creative Suite 5, and when I try to open the 'Install' folder, it says "Install can't be opened. You should eject the disk image." And I have no other options beyond Cancel or Eject Disk Image. Any suggestions for this issue? I followed the link you provided but since I can't even get the Install folder to open, I feel a bit stuck.

I also tried following the link, and following the instructions. When I entered my CS6 serial number, this is the message I got: "The serial number is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer. Then, it gives me a drop down menu with only CS5 options. My Products page on my account says the serial number is CS6, so I downloaded the CS6 Design Standard DMG. Any ideas as to what's happening? Thanks.

I have the same issue except it is for Windows. I see the product and the lic when I log into Adobe, however there is no link to download the CS6 Photoshop I purchased in 2012?
