I'm trying to install Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit on Windows 10. It keeps failing with "The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit could be completely installed"

OK, I got this sorted out. The "Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_7_1.exe" program creates a folder called "Adobe\Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1". (It prompts you for a location.) I removed that folder, rebooted, and tried again. This time it worked!

I think that version was released before Win10, so read below

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL permissions... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

Thanks, John. I tried compatibility settings per the instructions you referred me to for the "Install Lightroom 5.exe" file and "setup64.exe" in the "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5" subfolder. Unfortunately neither setting helped. I also tried running both as administrator and that didn't help either.

Do these installers create a log file somewhere? If so, I might be able to use it to figure out what's going wrong.
