Daisyw70671848 you are very close.  Good job you located the Install Unix Executable!  Now you need to open Terminal and drag the Install Unix Executable to the open Terminal Window.

The Terminal appears to be in your dock but it does not appear to be open in the screen shot.

sorry I find it really hard to understand but I have followed the steps in the link to add it to my computer and this is the info I get

The app’s authorization has been revoked

There may be a problem with this app. Although the app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for the app has been revoked, and it cannot be opened.

Check with the Mac App Store or the software developer to see whether there is an updated version of this app.

Daisyw70671848 please make sure to drag the Install Unix Executable, within the Install application package, to the open Terminal window.

From the error message you posted it would appear that you are double clicking on the Install application package which will not be successful under macOS Sierra.

If you continue to face difficulties can you please post a screen shot of how you are beginning the installation process?  You can find details on how to post a screen shot at FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video?.

I have down loaded illustrator and when I follow your instructions this pops up

“Install” can't be opened. you should eject the disk image. “Install” is on the disk image “Illustrator_15_1_LS1.dmg”. Safari downloaded this disk image today at 16:06 from helpx.adobe.com.

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

It’s unlikely you will have a disk drive on a new Mac. But you can use the Adobe download link and validate the product with the serial number from your disk packaging or from your Adobe account if you originally registered your product.

You install programs exactly the same way you did the 1st time... put your disc in the drive and enter your serial number when asked

    .

    Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339

-kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2260248 will help

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs
