Is Photoshop CS5, which I currently use with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, also compatible with Windows 10 64-bit OS?

Hi,

I currently use Photoshop CS5 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS.  I like CS5, and have no need to upgrade to the CC products.  I also am thinking of purchasing a new PC with Windows 10 64-bit OS.  Will my Photoshop CS5 work with Windows 10?

Additionally, if CS5 is compatible with Win 10, must I first uninstall CS5 on my current machine prior to installing it on the new machine, or can I simply use my CS5 disk to install directly to the new PC with Win 10?

Thanks,

Richard

No need to uninstall CS 5 from old machine ,. it is very very important to deactivate the activation from Help menu to save  Activation count.

All individual apps can be activated on 2 machines. Regarding activation count for more details , you may check with Adobe support once and get confirmation .

Thanks very much for your response.  Good to know that I can activation should not be a problem.  I'm a little uneasy regarding the compatibility issue.   If there are problems, can you describe what the common compatibility issues are?    Can you answer the same questions regarding compatibility of CS6?  If CS6 compatibility is pretty much a sure thing, can I still purchase CS6 disk?

Thanks again,

Richard

-also, only CURRENT products will be tested and updated for compatibility with Windows 10

-so if you have an older program, you update to Windows 10 at YOUR risk of problems
