Question

Is there a method to increasse the size in the UI text and handles when using Ultra HD monitors?

Platform: PC (WIN7)

Monitor: DELL 31 inch high resolution (UltraHD)

Problem: all text in for example Bridge (and other product as well from Adobe) get incredible tiny and there seems to be no way to enlarge them to a viewable size. There is a UI preference in, for example, Photoshop, but only for pulldown menue texts and not the kind of text and intefaces as in Bridge. Also, handles / sliders like in Camera RAW decreases in size and becomes very difficult to manipulate with the mouse.

In short, most it not all user interfaces related things seems to be pixel oriented which makes it almost impossible to us a professional high resultion monitor when everything in the UI are minimalistic in size. Please try!.

A "fix" or workaround is to set the resolution to the normal HD, but then the idea to use a good grade monitor seems worthless.

I have asked around and no one seems to see a solution. I have reported this as a suspected bug.

Any idea?, or Please fix asap

Actually, all. But I am mostly working with Bridge, camera RAW, Photoshop and Premier Pro. Version: CS6. (I have the CS6 master collection)

The main problem is that all UI related stuff will be extremely tiny and the only exception are some pull-down menu texts which can be set to "large" in for example Photoshop.

If you, for example, run Bridge, all texts will be extremely tiny in size all over. Open an image in camera raw, and you will see that the sliders to change (for example) exposure, shadow or whatever, has decreased to half size, and become quite difficult to use. Also, it cvan be noted in, for example adobe G converter, the scroll bar which appears when there is a large amount of images to convert from (in my case using a NIKON camera) from NEF to DNG format, the scroll bar is half the normal size as expected. So there seems to be a general "bug" in the way the UI graphics are made, not really adapted to this kind of high res monitors which are coming out in large numbers now.

The only workaround is to set back the resolution to normal HD resultion 1920x1080.

I have noted some programs which scale texts not so good with this high resolution monitor, but all Adobe applications stands out in itself in a negative way. It is simply not possible to read and use the UI in a proper way.

GB_online support for HiDPI was added with Premiere Pro CC.  For Mac OS PS CS6 version 13.0.2 was updated for HiDPI the Windows version was not updated until Photoshop CC.

I would recommend reviewing the following documents for additional information:

If you have further questions on this topic then I would recommend posting in the specific forum for that product.  You can find a list of the available forums at https://forums.adobe.com/welcome.
