just downloaded cs5 on new computer but now won't open the file to continue install

just downloaded cs5 extended on new computer, but once done downloading it won't open file to finish install.  What is causing this?

cs5 extended file,  size just under a 1gb.  I have windows 8.

windows 8, it gives me several options to open with.  Maybe I'm not using the right one.  What would best to open this with?

you only downloaded 1 of the 2 needed files.  you have the 7z archive already, but you need the exe.

download file 2 of 2 and place in the same directory with your 7z.  then click/double click the exe.

you can download it to the same directory or download it elsewhere and then move it using your file browser.

then it goes to this once I try to open from there and then I can't get anything to happen at this point

that 2nd window should not open.

in the first window shown in message 9, right click the bottom file and click properties.  make sure the file extension is exe.

if it is you should be able to right click it and then click 'run as administrator'.

right click the first file (the archive)  > click rename > add .7z (dot seven zee) to the end of the file name > click ok > run the exe as administrator.
